Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra (PBK) and dedicate it to the Indian Diaspora on Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, 2016. Consulate General of India, New York will organize viewing of the webcast of the event for the Indian community at its premises at 1030 hrs on October 2, 2016. This will take place after the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations at Union Square at 0930 hrs.

The PBK is a premier convention centre for showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Indian Diaspora from different parts of the world. The Kendra is equipped to host wide range of activities such as meetings, seminars, classes and cultural events to facilitate exchange of ideas involving the Diaspora. PBK is expected to emerge as a focal point for all activities engaging the Indian Diaspora.
