Consul General of India in New York Ambassador Dnyaneshwar M. Mulay addressed a press-interaction on 6th March 2014. He informed the media-people about the forthcoming event - the monthly lecture-series “Media India 2014”. Amb. Mulay clarified that these lectures deal with India’s global image, identity, aspirations, role and projection and related themes aimed primarily at mainstream American media, University students, youth and second generation Indian Americans.

Amb. Mulay confirmed the participations of distinguished speakers like Mr Suketu Mehta, author and Thinker who is working with Arthur L. Carter, Journalism Institute, New York University. The first lecture on 21st March 2014 on "India & US: Traffic of Ideas" by Mr Mehta will be moderated by Mr Tunku Vardarajan, Professor at the City University of New York\'s Graduate School of Journalism. Consul General also informed that the Consulate is in dialogue with some other speakers to make the series successful and memorable.

Amb. Mulay sought media's cooperation in highlighting the lecture-series and spreading the message about India\'s diverse heritage, democratic values and myriad accomplishments.
