Indian Chamber of Commerce Delegation Visits New York

A delegation from Indian Chamber of Commerce, Kolkata was in the US from April 24-26, 2019. The delegation had interactions with officials of US Departments of State and Commerce in Washington DC and several B-2-B meetings.

In New York on April 26, they had a productive day of engagements. The members visited the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the MasterCard Technology Hub where they were briefed about new innovations in financial technologies. They were also hosted by United States-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) and law firm of White & Williams.

During the visit, a seminar on US-India Business Relations was organized by the Consulate General of India, New York. The keynote address was given by Dr. Arvind Panagariya, Professor of Indian Political Economy, Columbia University. Mr. Rudra Chatterjee, President, Indian Chamber of Commerce introduced the Chamber members to the New York business community. Mr. Sumit Ganguli, CEO, GAVS Technologies Inc. spoke about his experiences of running business in the USA. Mr. Neil Bjorkman, VP, Legislative Affairs, USISPF spoke about the bipartisan support at the Capitol Hill to India-US relations. Mr. Rajiv Khanna, President, India-America Chamber of Commerce, spoke about the opportunities of investment in WestBengal.
