24/7 Emergency Helpline/Contact Number for Diaspora

           In order to cater to the needs of the Diaspora and deliver more efficient Consular Services, Consulate General of India, New York announces the introduction of 24/7 Emergency Helpline/contact Number. Members of Diaspora in case of genuine emergency may contact the following  number which will be attended to and monitored on 24/7 basis. The Emergency Consular Services will be available with effect from 19/6/2017( June 19th , 2017).

          In order to make the Emergency helpline/contact number more efficient, members of Diaspora may like to keep the following in mind:

1.       Requests should be for "Essential & Genuine emergencies "only.

2.       Calls may be followed up with mails to the "helpline@indiacgny.org" in case additional information/documentation is required by the Consulate official.

3.       Emergency Consular Services will be available only for those living in the ten (10)  states under the jurisdiction of this Consulate (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont).
