Celebration of International Women's Day with Society of Foreign Consuls, March 5th 2018

The Consulate General of India in collaboration with Society of Foreign Consuls (SOFC) will be celebrating International Women' Day on March 05, 2018.

The celebration acknowledges one distinguished expatriate woman (honoree) from each of the participating countries who has made a major contribution to their community in arts, culture, business, government or academia. This year's honoree from Consulate General of India, New York is Ms. Aroon Shivdasani, Executive Director and founding member of the Indo-American Arts Council (IAAC). IAAC's mission is to build an awareness of Indian artists and artistic disciplines (performing, visual, literary and folk arts in North America) as well as nurturing and promoting emerging artists from India. We felicitate Ms. Aroon Shivdasani on this occasion.

This year, nineteen countries will be participating in the event being held at Bohemian National Hall, Manhattan.
