India Corner at Fletcher Free Library, Burlington, Vermont

On June 29, 2019, Consul General Mr. Sandeep Chakravorty inaugurated an India Corner at the Fletcher Free Library in Burlington, Vermont. Ms. Barbara Shatara, Programs and Partnerships Librarian, Prof Abigail McGowan, Associate Professor and Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences, University of Vermont, Ms. Linda Murphy, Administrative Coordinator for Mayor of Burlington and  Ms. Kesha Ram, former Vermont House member were present on the occasion. Mr. Shiv Sharma, Mr. Nikhil Patel, Mr. Amit Lodha and other members of the Indian-American Community were also present.

Ms. Linda Murphy read the Mayor’s Proclamation commemorating the occasion.

Mr. Chakravorty thanked the Library Officials for hosting an India Corner at the Library and appreciated the efforts of the Indian–American community of Vermont in making this possible and assured them of the Consulate’s cooperation at all times.
