India Corner at Norwalk Public Library, Connecticut
India Corner at Norwalk Public Library, Connecticut
On September 15, 2019, the Norwalk Public Library in association with the Connecticut Chapter of the Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO-CT) welcomed Consul General Mr. Sandeep Chakravorty for unveiling of the India Corner at the Norwalk Public Library with a collection of books gifted by the Consulate on India - its history, people, culture and politics.
Present on this occasion were Norwalk’s Mayor Harry S. Rilling and State Senator Bob Duff. Other dignitaries attending the program included Connecticut Assemblywoman Lucy Dathan and Norwalk Common Councilman Greg Burnett. The event was well attended by members of the community.
Mr. Chakravorty thanked Mayor Harry Rilling and GOPIO-CT for their cooperation and the Norwalk Library officials for hosting the India Corner at the Library.
