Subject: 15^th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention – January 21 – 23, 2019 at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh

The 15^th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention is being organized by Ministry of External Affairs in association with the State Government of Uttar Pradesh in January, 2019. The 15^th PBD Convetion, 2018 will take place on January 21 – 23, 2019 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh in keeping with the sentiments of the diaspora community to participate in Kumbh Snan and the desire to witness the Republic Day Parade.

The theme of the 15^th PBD Convention is: "नये भारत के निर्माण में प्रवासी भारतीयों की भूमिका" or “Role of Indian Diaspora in Building a New India”. More than 5000 foreign delegates are expected to participate in PBD 2019. Click here for the tentative schedule of the PBD Convention 2019.

Young PIOs are encouraged to participate in the four KIPs that the Ministry will be organizing (coinciding with PBD) so that they can participate in the youth PBD and PBD Convention also. They are also encouraged to participate in the online “Bharat Ko Jaaniye Quiz”.
