Consul General visits New Hampshire, 6-7th September 2013

 

 

Consul General Ambassador Dnyaneshwar Mulay visited the state of New Hampshire on September 6-7, 2013 on an official visit.

 

  

On September 6, 2013 the Consul General addressed the gathering at the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire, Manchester, a think tank affiliated to Southern New Hampshire University. During his address, Ambassador Mulay talked on various aspects of India-US relations including political, strategic, defence, economic & commercial, science & technology, education, culture and many other areas. The address was followed by Q&A session. Ms. Anna Berry, Executive Director of the Institute moderated the session. The event was attended by large number of members of academic, business as well as Indian community in New Hampshire.

          The Consul General also met with Ms. Robin Comstock, President & CEO of Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, the largest business chamber in the State. Various areas of cooperation between the businesses of New Hampshire and India were discussed during the meeting.

  

 

On September 7, 2013 the Consul General met with the Indian community in New Hampshire. A number of issues of community welfare were discussed during the meeting. Ambassador Mulay informed the participants about various activities and initiatives of the Consulate and answered to their queries. The function was organized by the Indian Association of New Hampshire, the largest Indian community organization in the State.

During the visit, the Consul General also visited the State House in the State capital Concord which houses the chambers of the State legislature and the Governor and got familiarized with the legislative and administrative procedures of the State.
